Of the Anderson lowers I've dealt with, none have passed gauge testing......moistly with the buffer retaining plunger hole position.......some FCG pin diameters out of spec.....and one the mag-well was broached undersized..... I will neither use, nor recommend Anderson..... However, I'm glad yours seem to have been in spec......

Gonna depend on size, "construction", fire size and distance..... "A" with very large fire near by will be warmer than "B" constructed "drafty" with just a candle....

For me, primary method is just getting more than we eat from the grocery store...... Secondary, is to get bulk freeze dried when I see really good deals I can afford.....

It's hit or miss with PSA.......my understanding is they outsource the machining of their lowers.....My guess is that some of their job shops don't have the necessary QC.....
